Fall Newsletter and Q3 Market Report

What a spectacular fall! It’s been one of the longest and prettiest change of seasons I have seen in years. Stunning rides up to the Maroon Bells and Pinecreek Cookhouse with great friends are coming to an end. It’s time to hang up our bikes and dust off our ski equipment in anticipation of the upcoming El Nino winter and newly anticipated Hero's ski terrain (formerly Pandora's). However, I look forward to joining my friends once again on the slopes on opening day at Aspen Mountain on November 23rd, which is just around the corner!

I anticipate a busy winter real estate market as we transition out of an active summer selling season. While the pace of sales has slowed somewhat since last year and inventory remains below pre-covid levels, we continue to see record sales above $30 million, with Aspen's highest record sale to date of $76 million. Recent and potential upcoming city and county building regulations restricting the size home that can be built has been a catalyst to these and other substantially sized home sales.
